Our legacy, your longevity
175 years of doing right by those we serve takes endurance — and we’ve been going the distance since 1851. Today, MassMutual Wellness provides support to our eligible policyowners in key areas such as early cancer detection, everyday mental health support, and disease risk detection — empowering them to make informed, proactive decisions about their well-being.
From whole life to a fuller life
Whole life insurance has long been a foundation for protecting your financial future. Today, it’s evolving to offer innovative benefits that help support what’s ahead. Over the past several years, MassMutual has piloted wellness programs designed to support policyowners beyond the policy itself — insights that helped shape the approach we offer today. Now included with eligible MassMutual Whole Life policies, the Living Well Rider provides access to three innovative benefits at no cost, supporting you along the way.
Better insights, better outcomes
In partnership with GRAIL, MassMutual Wellness offers access to an early cancer detection test, Galleri®, to our eligible policyowners.
When Darla was offered the Galleri multi-cancer early detection test, she decided to take it as a proactive step for her health. She was surprised to receive a Cancer Signal Detected result, with a predicted origin in the pancreas or gallbladder. After meeting with her primary care physician and follow up testing, Darla was diagnosed with stage II pancreatic cancer.
The lesson? When you’re able to make informed, proactive decisions, it could help you live better today — or live on in the long run.

There’s strength in numbers
In 2022, we created MassMutual Wellness to help people look beyond their financial health to help support their total well-being. Here’s how we showed up:
1 in 5 policyowners
who participated in our pilots learned that they were at a higher genetic risk for common and preventable diseases, including heart disease, diabetes, breast and prostate cancer.
10,000+ policyowners
tested for more than 50 types of cancer, including several for which no other form of screening is available.
1st insurer in the U.S.
to offer our policyowners free access to AI-guided mental health support; the aim was to help address day-to-day challenges like anxiety, stress, and lack of sleep.
Offered over 125,000+ policyowners
the opportunity to get rewarded for positive health and wellness habits through our Wellness-Enhanced Lifestyle and Longevity (WELL) Rider.
